International Paper donates $800,000 to support Ukraine’s humanitarian efforts

MEMPHIS, Tenn., March 11, 2022 /CSRwire/ — To meet the significant and growing humanitarian needs caused by the conflict in Ukraine, International Paper (NYSE: IP) is donating $275,000 to the Red Cross and the Global Foodbanking Network. This brings the company’s combined total donations to these organizations to $550,000 to support humanitarian relief efforts, particularly to help Ukrainian refugees.

International Paper is also launching an employee pairing program. Through this program, the company will provide matching funds for employee contributions to Red Cross and Global Foodbanking Network Ukraine relief efforts, up to $250,000. Finally, the company also supports local relief efforts in the European region through boxes and other in-kind donations.
