Kuwait, Bahrain condemn Houthi terrorist attempts to threaten Saudi security

KUWAIT / MANAMA – Kuwait and Bahrain on Friday expressed their strong condemnation and denunciation of the continued attempts by the Houthi militia to threaten the security of Saudi Arabia by targeting Abha airport with a bomb-laden drone, in addition to target Khamis Mushait with two bombs – loaded drones and a ballistic missile.

In a statement reported by the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), the Kuwaiti Foreign Ministry claimed that continued aggressive behavior targeting civilians, civilian areas and the security of the Kingdom as well as the stability of the region, constitute a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law. They also demand that the international community take immediate and decisive action to deter such threats and hold perpetrators to account.

The ministry reiterated the full support of the State of Kuwait to Saudi Arabia in all measures it takes to preserve its security and stability.

The Bahraini Foreign Ministry has strongly condemned the launch by the Houthi terrorist militia of a ballistic missile and two bomb-laden drones at Khamis Mushait in a cowardly terrorist act that violates international law. He underlined Manama’s support for the Kingdom in all the measures it takes to maintain its security, stability and the security of citizens and expatriates.

The Bahraini ministry praised the efficiency and vigilance of the Saudi defense forces and their ability to deal with these repeated attacks, calling on the international community to take dissuasive measures in order to face these heinous terrorist acts aimed at destabilizing security. and the stability of the region.

Coalition forces managed to intercept a ballistic missile and bomb-laden drones thrown by Houthi militia towards Khamis Mushait on Thursday.

Meanwhile, four people were slightly injured as a drone fired by the Houthis was intercepted at Abha International Airport.
