The National Australia Bank today announced its disaster relief program for customers in Victoria affected by storms.
NAB encourages customers affected by storms to contact the bank when they are ready to discuss a range of financial assistance measures, including:
Credit card and personal loan relief.
Waiver of business premises restructuring file fees.
Deferment of principal payment and / or leasing of commercial loans.
Waiver of fees and charges for early withdrawal of term deposits (including farm management deposits).
Concessional loans to customers seeking support to restructure existing facilities to assist with repairs, replenishment and reopening of businesses.
Discount offer on mortgage and personal loan repayments or moratorium.
NAB Assist tele-consults customers.
Wellness support service for colleagues and clients.
NAB Executive Retail Regional Vic, Mil Kairouz, said the measures allow customers to access immediate financial support.
“We know this is having an impact on many people in the region – we are here to help and the number one priority is to stay safe,” Kairouz said.
“We’re here to support all of NAB’s customers, employees and the wider community before, during and after a natural disaster. Anyone who needs help or advice can contact us so that we can discuss their situation and find the best way to help. ”
Customers in need of assistance are encouraged to go to the nearest open NAB branch where they can do so safely, contact their banker directly, call NAB Assist on 1800 701 599 (8 a.m. – 8 p.m. Monday to Friday, or 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays AEST / AEDT) or visit nab.com.au/disaster.

Agri customers who need help can contact their banker.
