The Cardinia Shire Council has partnered with the Australian Red Cross to organize a drop-off event in September.

Residents are asked to fill their car boots with quality clothing and household items and proceed to the contactless collection point where the Council’s waste management team and Australian Red Cross volunteers will unload the goods.

Donations will be accepted from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday September 10 at the IYU Reserve, 165 Henry Road Pakenham.

Donated clothing, accessories and household items will be taken to the Australian Red Cross warehouse for distribution to their stores and programs to help those in need.

Donations of furniture, books, electrical appliances and dirty, damaged or unwearable items will not be accepted.

Remember that Future Recycling Pakenham can accept electrical items (electronic waste), batteries and scrap metal free of charge at any time of the year.

Residents can also get rid of larger items such as furniture, electrical items and appliances by scheduling a hard waste collection for their property, at a time convenient for them throughout the year.
