What is 3RP?
The 3RP is a strategic, coordination, planning, advocacy, fundraising and programming platform for humanitarian and development partners to respond to the Syrian crisis. The 3RP is a comprehensive regional plan with five nationally led response plans 1, called national chapters, which are developed through the respective coordination structures made up of government, UN agencies and I / NGOs.
The comprehensive 3RP approach has brought together more than 270 humanitarian and development partners at national and regional levels, channeling a total of US $ 20.6 billion through the plan since its inception and strengthening partnerships with other actors, including including donors and international financial institutions.
The regional 3RP plan is currently undergoing an external evaluation to ensure that it remains fit for purpose in a changing context. It started in July 2021, with the objectives of 1) assessing what has worked well and what has not worked well in terms of regional 3RP mechanisms; and 2) assess and generate recommendations on how regional 3RP mechanisms can evolve to respond to the changing context in the region.
It is expected that the findings of the assessment will be available in early 2022 and will help shape the next iteration of 3RP from 2023.
